About Me

My name is Hillary. I am a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a Mormon. I consider each of those titles a blessing. At the age of 13, I was diagnosed with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. In the past 15 years I have gone through some emotional and physical challenges, but through the gift and power of faith, I have accepted that this is my trial in life and I have been extremely blessed to be surrounded by people who love and support me through the ups and downs of living with a disability. In 2008 I married the  man of my dreams. Tyler is amazing. He wouldn't want me talking about him, but he such a great husband. He supports me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. He is truly my other half.  In 2011 we adopted a beautiful baby girl. I am blessed beyond measure to be her mother. She brings joy and laughter to each day. In 2014 we were blessed to adopt another baby boy. He is the sweetest little guy around! As a teenager I didn't fully understand that each of us will face trials and challenges throughout life. No one is exempt. Now that I know and understand more fully the purposes of life here on earth, that knowledge brings me peace. However, I still have bad days...the days that my emotions sneak up on me and bring oceans of tears. Yet, I still have amazing days....the days that life brings joy, laughter, and love. And I can see the tender mercies of the Lord.
